Summit Training & Fitness is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, and personable Fitness Trainer to join our growing team. We’re a community-focused gym that delivers fun, fast-paced, full-body strength and cardio workouts — backed by exercise science and great coaching.

Whether you're an experienced trainer or simply passionate about fitness and people, we provide a comprehensive onboarding program to help you succeed.

About Summit

Summit is a locally owned and operated business and our group fitness sessions combine strength and cardio in a high-energy, supportive environment. We use equipment like weighted sleds, dumbbells, TRX bands, medicine balls, and more. Our coaching philosophy is built around creating a dynamic, encouraging space where people of all fitness levels feel welcome and challenged.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and/or assist classes and create a fun, positive training experience.
  • Teach and demonstrate how to properly perform movements.
  • Watch for proper form and technique, offering helpful corrections and encouragement.
  • Build real connections with members and foster a supportive, welcoming gym community.
  • Help members set personal goals and stay accountable.
  • Contribute to keeping the gym clean, organized, and safe for everyone.
  • Perform basic sales procedures to enroll new members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Outgoing, high-energy personality.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for fitness.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and reliable.
  • Accountable, Coachable, and open to feedback.
  • High School/College sports experience preferred, but not required.
  • Prior coaching, front desk, and/or sales experience within the fitness industry is preferred, but not required.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Pass a background check, to ensure a safe, positive environment for our community.
  • First 90 days is a probationary period.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $18–$30 per hour (based on experience and performance).
  • Hours: 3–30 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
  • Free fitness classes for trainers.
  • Typical Working Hours:
  • Mornings: 4:30AM–10AM*
  • Evenings: 4:30PM–9PM*
  • Saturdays: 6:30AM–12PM*
  • *Scheduled hours may vary based on specific day, position and training schedule.

Onboarding & Career Progression

We offer a structured, level based training program designed to help you grow. Whether you’re new to coaching or experienced, this process ensures you’re fully equipped to deliver top-tier classes and build strong relationships with members.

During training, you’ll start with limited scheduled hours focused on training and hands-on learning. As you progress, your coaching hours and pay will increase, with opportunities for bonuses and added responsibilities along the way.
